Botanica Dandelion liquid herb is most often used to support gallbladder function and as a digestive aid. As a bitter flavoured herb, it can improve bile flow and secretion from the liver and gallbladder. This in turn improves bowel movements and can thus act as a gentle laxative overall.

  • Used in Herbal Medicine as a diuretic and a laxative
  • Helps increase bile flow, treat digestive upset, and stimulate appetite
  • Herbal alternative to help relieve dermatological conditions

Dandelion has been used across the world in traditional Chinese medicine, European herbal medicine, and traditional Native American medicine. In herbal medicine, herbs that can support liver, gallbladder and intestinal function such as Dandelion root, are often used as cleansers. They support our emunctories, or pathways of elimination. As a result, and Dandelion is no exception, they can have a soothing and beneficial impact on various skin conditions such as eczema.

Our liquid herbs are crafted through a careful process to create the most bioavailable herbs. First, whole herbs not powders are soaked in organic alcohol for weeks to draw out active compounds. And then we go gently—without chemicals or high temperatures— to concentrate the herbal extract further. Every step of the process is tested for both purity and potency from harvest to bottling.
